AUTOMOTIVE / MARINE

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE NOISE AND VIBRATION ABATEMENT TECHNIQUES FOR AUTOMOTIVE/MARINE APPLICATIONS.

DEICON’s activities in this area lie in development of active and passive noise and vibration abatement techniques for automotive/marine applications.

There are many vibration and noise sources in large watercrafts such as super and mega yachts.  They include but are not limited to, the main engines and gearboxes, Diesel generators, compressors, pumps, HVAC equipment, vortex shedding, intakes and exhausts (of the engines). Proper isolation of the mechanical equipment from their support structure is the key in lowering the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise to the entire vessel.

Our experience in passive and active noise and vibration control, coupled with our design, engineering, and prototyping capabilities, ensure that the solutions we deliver provide the maximum in value, performance, and timeliness.

Noise and Vibration Solutions for Yachts

Quieting noise and vibration in super and mega yachts are of utmost importance. In addition to discomfort to passengers and crew, high levels of noise and vibration result in potential damage to sensitive equipment, and elevated fatigue risk of structural elements.

DEICON has developed the following novel, highly effective semi-active (adjustable passive) and active vibration control and noise control products/techniques for vibration and noise mitigation onboard luxury vessels:

In addition to the products mentioned above, DEICON provides design, computer analysis, testing & measurements, and prototyping services in other areas of noise and vibration abatement in luxury watercraft and other marine applications.
